AdBlue is an aqueous solution made with 32,5% urea. It is used in selective catalytic reduction (SCR) in order to lower NOx concentration of the diesel exhaust emissions from diesel engines. It meets the requirements of ISO 22241 standard. AdBlue® is a trademark registered by VDA (The German Association of the Automotive Industry).
The vehicles are equipped with a separate AdBlue tank. SCR systems are sensitive and therefore the cleanliness is very important when handling the product. Impurities can cause blocking of the filters which shortens the lifetime of the exhaust gas after treatment equipment. The consumption of AdBlue is approximately 6-6 % of the fuel consumption.
The product is available in 4 l pouches, 10 l canisters, 200 l. drums, 1000 l IBC-containers and also at some Neste Truck- stations.

Technical properties
Applications
Recommendation for operating temperature is 10-25 °C. The product freezes at -11 °C. It is recommended to store the product protected from the direct sunlight. Shelf life is minimum 18 months from the production date.
